Twisted Circles Earrings
Skill Level: Intermediate
Technique: Involved components, Half round wire
Here's another way to use half round wire! Make this pair of lightweight earrings that you can dress up or down, and still have fun wearing them! If you want the loops to be larger, just add an inch or two to each wire used.
Tip: Make both earrings at the same time, working one step on one earring, and then the same step on the other.

Tools
Instructions
- Measure and cut the needed lengths of chain and set them aside. Straighten, clean, measure, and cut the necessary lengths of 16-gauge half round half hard wire. Mark each piece 3/4" away from each end.

- One at a time, place one end of a wire into the automatic wire twister and use chain nose pliers to grasp the other end of the wire. Lightly twist each individual piece of wire in this manner.

- Wrap one 6 inch wire around an object that has a circumference of 4 1/2 inches, until the ends cross at the 3/4 inch marks. Use chain nose pliers to grasp the wires where they cross and twist twice, to lock the shape in place.

- Repeat Step 3 on the other 6 inch wire. In the same manner, wrap each 5 inch wire around a circumference of 3 1/2 inches and each 4 inch wire around a circumference of 2 1/2 inches.

- Use round nose pliers to grasp one end of the wire and fold it, back and down, to hang inside the circle. Form a loop at the end of this wire. Grasp the top end of the remaining wire and form a loop in the same direction. This will be the top circle of your earring. Repeat on the other 6 inch wire loop.

- Use chain nose pliers to turn the inside loop toward the back of the earring and slightly open it. Repeat these steps on all of the twisted loops.

- On each of the largest hoops, insert the end link of the 3/8 inch chain into the open bottom/inside loop, and firmly close the loop.

- Now insert the other end of the 3/8 inch chain into the top loop of the medium twisted hoop and close that loop.

- Insert one end of the 1/4 inch chain into the inside/bottom loop of the medium twisted hoop, and close it. Connect the top loop of the smallest twisted hoop into the other end of the 1/4 inch chain and close.

- Use the bottom/inside loop on the smallest twisted hoop to insert the remaining 3 pieces of 1 3/4 inch long chain segments and close. Now add your favorite ear wires and head off to a party or the mall!
