Rhonda Chase Design began as Rhonda Chase Design and Illustration in the late 1980's.

Over time, it evolved from a freelance business to a small graphic design and marketing firm, serving well-known companies like Wells Fargo and Home Depot. Most of my work was created on a computer and included lots of corporate collateral, web design, etc.

Then, in 2009 I decided to renew my fine art roots by getting my hands back into the art I love. I focused on jewelry design and ceramics and quickly gained recognition in the respective fields: winning awards and showing work in galleries.

Currently, I also do guest blogging, give classes and write online tutorials on jewelry making.

Rhonda Chase shared a pattern with our subscribers which featured wire weaving skills and combines them with some beautiful donut gemstones into a wonderful pendant.

Story behind the creation: While in Italy I was deeply inspired by magnificent art nouveau buildings from the early 1900’s. There were many botanical patterns, which led me to design this art nouveau flower pendant. Nouveau Flourite is a play on words, combining the art style and the gemstone, and sounding like “nouveau fleur” which means “new flower” in French.

Antique Chinese Bead Pendant

This one-of-a-kind wire wrapped pendant features a beautiful antique (about 100 years old) Chinese bead set in a bright copper wire wrap. The pendant is crafted by hand in copper jewelry wire and is sealed to protect the finish. This pendant is a smooth, solid piece of wearable art. Rhonda features this beautiful pendant for sale on her website.
