I was inspired by a sunset image of my beloved Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota where I grew up. This fun and simple project combines gemstones and wire. I love using Venus Jasper beads with blue wire but you can use any 6mm or 8mm beads for this project.

Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 12" length of wire. Slide bead onto middle of wire and wrap one side around the top of the bead and the other wire around the bottom of the bead.

Step 2
Holding the bead stationary, tightly wrap the top wire ½ way around the bead. Wrap the bottom wire ½ way around the bead.
Pro Tip: Try not to criss-cross your wires.

Step 3
Use the nylon jaw pliers to straighten any kinks in the wire if needed. Keep wrapping wire until there is 1/2 inch left on both wire ends.

Step 4
Using the round nose pliers, roll the wire end back to create a loop. Repeat on the other wire end going in the opposite direction. Repeat two more times to create three total dangles.

Step 5
Grasp one of the dangle loops in your chain nose pliers and twist 90 degrees. Repeat for the other loop. Do this for one other dangle. You'll end up with two regular dangles and one 90 degree dangle.

Step 6
Make a crystal dangle by sliding a crystal onto a headpin and making a simple loop at the top.

Step 7
Open one of the regular loops and slide on a 90 degree dangle loop, close loop. Open the 90 degree dangle loop and slide on a regular loop, close loop.

Step 8
Attach a crystal dangle to the bottom regular dangle loop.

Attach center of chain to top loop.
