Color Inspiration- Fireworks Wire Necklace

by Kristal Wick
Inspired by the sweet, sticky memories of childhood candy necklaces, Kristal Wick reimagined those red, white, and blue treats into a color palette perfect for wearable, grown-up fun. This festive take on nostalgic hues delivers all the 4th of July charm-without the sugar rush or melting mess.
As a kid, my favorite 4th of July were those edible candy disk necklaces and bracelets. Major problem was if you didn't eat them fast enough, they'd melt all over your wrist and neck making a nasty sticky mess! I still got them every year no matter what but let's fast forward to life as an adult.

I wanted something permanent I could wear yearly on the 4th that wouldn't melt or disintegrate! I came up with this design and I assure you, it's a great improvement over the candy necklace!

You can use size 20 or 18 gauge wire for this design.

Both work equally as well.

Dig through your seed bead stash and find cute red, white and blue seed beads.

The only requirement is that the holes are big enough to fit onto your jump rings.

The wire working design is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it with the first few links.

Then, you won't want to stop! Make a bracelet to match while you're at it!
