Wrapping a Rectangle Cab
Question:
I have a rectangular cab to wrap. I'm doing everything I'm supposed to, my question is, wherein the rectangle do I put my half round wraps? It's a small rectangle, 2 3/4" around, but it's as thick as four 22-gauge wires. After this one, I have another larger one to do! Thank you.

Glad to hear from you Macie. Here is how I would frame wrap this small rectangular stone!
Since the stone is about the width of four 22-gauge wires, use six wires for the frame.
The corners are usually rounded, so add about 1 inch of wire to bend smoothly around them.
For wrapping the frame, I'd wrap across the entire bottom and then from each top corner up to where the bail will be.
When making the pulls to hold the stone, add one wrap near the top and one near the bottom these form two parallel lines about 2mm inside the main frame, just inside the stone.
Another option is to wrap the center of each of the three sides (excluding the bail top), then wrap from the bail area back toward but not covering the top corners.
Shape the frame to the stone, then use a knife to slice the top wire at each corner and flip it up over the stone's corners.
This creates a frame that looks like a photo with album corners a clean, elegant look I prefer.
