Turn an Old Table into a Jewelry Bench

by Kylie Jones
You don't always need to spend a lot of money to make yourself the perfect work space. Here's what I did for a jewelry bench.
Instructions
To turn my old table into a jeweler's bench, I bought a white shelving unit that's actually a shoe rack.

It's the perfect height for working at my bench pin. I clamp the bench pin to it, add a light and magnifier, and fill the shelves with useful tools.

Made of particle board, it can be drilled into for mounting other tools or even a bench pin directly on the front.

You can add a sweeps drawer by placing a tray on the middle shelf.

The unit is easy to lift off for a clear workspace and can even convert a table into a stand-up desk.

I glued non-slip strips to the bottom to keep it stable and prevent movement.
