Stash Inspiration and Notes

by Judy Larson
It is a good idea to periodically go through your stash. You will always find something that will spark an idea, and it will probably come from a piece you don't even remember!

This piece started when two round closure were "found" in my stash. I don't remember when I purchased them or why, but I loved the sleek modern look, sans the trigger, and thought they would make great focals.

After thinking and sketching up a few designs, a necklace came together. Alone the necklace is stunning but how to make it more versatile without detracting from the simplicity of the necklace stymied me for a bit. Adding a pendant could compliment the look, but it would have to be the right size.

Depending on the pendant design, it could make the chain more casual or dressy. I thought smaller pendants and even smaller charms to pair with them would be the way to go.

We all have too many ideas and not enough time. I have a box of notes like this one because I don't always take the time or have the time to make an idea a reality right when I am thinking about it.

Sketching up a design and adding pertinent information to it is a great help to later remember what product you wanted to use or what ideas you came up with but can't put your finger on days or weeks or months later.
