Make a Filing Fixture

by Judy Freyer Thompson
Here's a good tool to use when filing the ends of paddled wires that have been soldered on one end and a bead strung on the opposite end. You can customize a bench or a piece of wood that you can clamp in your bench vise.
Instructions
Use this handy fixture to rest the bead that is threaded on a piece of wire, with the paddled end of the wire over-hanging the edge slightly, you can safely smooth the end with the bead nestled in the hole being securely held.
You'll need:

1) Bench pin or a block of wood

2) Three square file and flat file from the 6 piece filing set.
