Filing Angled Wires in a Jig

by Judy Larson
Here's a quick tip on using a jig for filing angled wires
When wires are angled inside the jaws of a miter jig and vise so they will make an angle join, if they are filed against the angle of the wire the file will grab the wire and bend it backwards. It is better to come at the ends with the file going in the same direction that the wire is pointing. The wires shown in the miter jig have been pulled out of the jig to better illustrate this.
