During a recent project I was working on, I decided to add a stamped pattern to the chain I made. Adding that little bit of texture elevated a simple paperclip chain in an amazing way
Instructions
As I'm attempting to stamp this 18g wire chain, I'm having the toughest time finding my placement on the link with the stamp.
Very frustrating, as the wire is thin. It was hard to see, hard to line up and when you get a miss-stamp, it's a nightmare. How do you fix it? The chain is done. The links are soldered. I had to figure something out to make certain that I had a good stamp every time.

My stamp was a simple straight leaf pattern. I found the center of the pattern and used a marker to add a mark on each end of the stamp and up onto the sides of the stamp

This made placement on the thin wire of the chain much easier to orientate. I could see both ends of the stamp and its location.
Such a simple thing, two small marks and headaches be gone. Stamping the rest of the chain was easy and came out great.
