Bead Soup Necklace
by Karen Meador, Ph.D.
Do you usually have beads left over from your projects? I use a lot of these extras for making earrings, but I also enjoy putting them together for Bead Soup necklaces. Take a look.
Instructions
I put the extra beads together in a bowl and move them around to see if I have a pleasing combination of colors and textures. I take out those that don't look good and search for others that might work better.

When I'm satisfied with the look, I turn the beads into beaded links making several into bead drops for the bottom of each long dangle. I used tiny S links between my beaded links thinking this would help things hang better. Create graduated lengths and attach them to chain for your necklace. I like this long look, but plan to create another that will be shorter and more delicate.
