Instructions

Step 1

First we will make 1 earring. Cut an 8 inches (20 cm) long base wire of the 20ga (0.8 mm) wire. Insert the base wire into the hole of the bead, making sure that the center of the base wire is on the lower side of the bead, as shown with the arrow.

Step 2

Take the lower half of the base wire, bend it tightly around the right side of the bead, as shown with the arrow.

Step 3

At the point where the recently bent base wire end meets with the upper wire end, hold this one tight within the flat nose pliers, then bend it completely upwards, as shown with the arrow.

Step 4

Cut a 40 inches (100 cm) long weaving wire Of the 28ga (0.3 mm) wire. position the initial end of the weaving wire behind the base wires, close to the top of the bead, then coil it 50 times around both base wires, as tight as you can.

Step 5

Now wrap the weaving wire 2 times around the lower base wire (from this point of view).

Step 6

Now wrap it once around both base wires. Let's call this weave 2-1 weave.

Step 7

Follow the same weaving steps until you make 25 rotations of the 2-1 weave, as tight as you can.

Step 8

At the initial part of the 2-1 weave, hold the base wires tight within the flat nose pliers, then bend them 90 degrees toward yourself.

Step 9

Now bend the woven wire ends completely downwards, bend them over the bead as shown here.

Step 10

A little bit below of the top of the wire structure, push the woven base wires slightly backwards, until they are positioned over the coiled part, as shown with the orange arrow. Bend the lower end of the woven part slightly to the right side direction, as shown with the green arrow

Step 11

Now make 1 rotation of the 2-1 weave, wrapping the weaving wire once around both the base wire ends and the wire on the right side of the bead, to connect them.

Step 12

Make another 15 rotations of the 2-1 weave, as tight as you can.

Step 13

Bend the woven base wires all around the right side of the bead, then wrap the weaving wire once around both wire ends and the other wire below the bead, to connect them again.

Step 14

Now wrap the weaving wire 3 times around the lower base wire, then cut off the extra weaving wire end.

Step 15

Bend the upper wire end into a loop on the lower side of the bead, as shown on this picture.

Step 16

Cut off the extra wire end at the point shown with the arrow.

Step 17

With the help of the round nose pliers, bend the wire end inwards, making a smaller loop with it.

Step 18

Bend the lower wire end exactly in the same way as shown with the arrow.

Step 19

Repeat the same steps here as well: -cut off the extra wire end then bend it into a small loop, bending it outwards

Step 20

Now let's repeat all the steps from the of this tutorial, to make the other earring. Cut another base wire of the same length (8 inches / 20 cm). This time we have to bend the wires and weave on the left side of the bead.

Step 21

Cut another weaving wire of the same length (40 inches / 100 cm), and repeat the same coiling and weaving steps:-50 coil around both base wires -25 rotations of the 2-1 weave, but this time wrap the weaving wire 2 times around the upper base wire, then once around both wires.

Step 22

This is a closer picture of the same weave but in the opposite way.

Step 23

Repeat the same bending and weaving steps as we did with the first earring, but this time bend the wires around the left side of the bead, as shown in this picture.

Step 24

Repeat the same bending steps with the wire ends, as we did with the first earring, bending them to the opposite directions.

Step 25

For the ear wires we will need 2 pieces of base wires of the 20ga (0.8 mm) wire, with the length of 3 inches ( 7.5 cm), each.

Step 26

Measure 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the left end of one base wire, at this point hold it tight within the center of the round nose pliers, as shown here.

Step 27

Bend both wire ends completely backwards.

Step 28

This is the result we must get.

Step 29

Insert the bent wire into the little space at the top of one earring, making sure that the short wire end is on the left side.

Step 30

Bend the wire ends slightly to the opposite directions, until they cross over each other, bending the shorter wire end over the longer wire end.

Step 31

At the point where the wire ends cross over each other, hold the longer wire end tight within the flat nose pliers, then bend it completely upwards.

Step 32

Hold both wire ends tight within the round nose pliers, then wrap the shorter wire end 2 times around the longer wire end, as tight as you can.

Step 33

Behind the longer base wire cut off the extra end of the shorter base wire, then pressure this one tight within the flat nose pliers, until it is completely closed.

Step 34

Above the recently wrapped part, hold the longer wire end tight within the center of the round nose pliers, as shown here.

Step 35

Now bend the wire end completely downwards behind the pliers, to complete the ear wire.

Step 36

Here's the finished earring.

Repeat exactly the same steps to make the ear wire for the second earring as well. Your beautiful Fairy earrings are ready.
