Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 2 3/4-inch segment of your twig using flush cutters.

If you find a piece with a small knot at the top, even better it adds character.

Use a bit of sandpaper to smooth the top end of the twig.

Step 2
Use one of your 4-inch wire segments to wrap the top of your twig and create a bail.

Start by forming a small loop at one end of the wire using your round nose pliers.

Step 3
Hold the loop firmly against the top front of the twig with your thumb.

Wrap the wire tightly around the top of the twig five times, being careful not to break it.

Use chain nose pliers to secure the wire and tighten the coils if needed.

Step 4
Wrap the remaining wire around the back of the twig, keeping the small loop facing forward.

Use your round nose pliers to grasp the wire tail behind the top of the twig and form a loop.

Step 5
While holding the loop with your round nose pliers, tightly coil the wire tail just below it three times.

Use chain nose pliers to pull and secure the coils if needed.

Trim any excess wire with your flush cutters.

Step 6
Tuck the wire tail underneath to secure it in place.

Use your chain nose pliers to adjust the top loop so it sits flush against the back of the twig.

Step 7
Wrap the embroidery floss around your pointer and second finger leaving a 1 1/2" tail.

Step 8
Carefully slide the looped floss off your fingers.

Use the floss tail to gently wrap and secure the top of the loop.

Don't pull too tightly keep it snug but flexible.

Step 9
Carefully slide the looped floss off your fingers.

Use the floss tail to gently wrap and secure the top of the loop.

Don't make it too tight keep it slightly loose so the floss doesn't bunch or twist.

Step 10
Wrap the second 4-inch wire segment five times around the secured area of floss at the bottom of the twig.

This will create a broom shape and hold the floss in place.

Trim any excess wire with your flush cutters.

Use chain nose pliers to tuck the wire ends flat against the back of the broom.

Step 11
Cut the bottom of your floss loops to make the broom.

Step 12
Trim any excess floss so the ends are even.

Step 13
Attach a jump ring to the top of the pendant.

Step 14
Slide the pendant onto your chain.

Attach a jump ring to each end of the chain, then connect a clasp to one of the rings.
