Instructions
Step 1
Cut an 8" length from the18g wire and mark the center (4") with a permanent marker.

You will make several of these and the number of wire lengths required depends upon the size bracelet you are making.

Step 2
Secure the ring mandrel in a holder or vise, if possible, and place a mark about ¾ inch from the smaller diameter end.

Step 3
Line up the mark on the wire and the one on the ring mandrel.

The wire is on top of the mandrel facing you.

Bend both ends of the wire away from you around the mandrel.

Step 4
Wrap both ends back around to the front making sure they do NOT cross in the back.

wist the wires together in the front of the mandrel.

Step 5
Wrap the wires around the twist forming an enlarging circle.

Keep the wires flat against the mandrel.

Step 6
Remove the link from the mandrel when about ½ of wire remains.

Use the round nose pliers to form loops in the wire ends and tuck these under the flower.

Step 7
Turn the link to the back and use your fingers to open the circles that previously went around the mandrel.

Step 8
Use a hammer or mallet and bench block to work harden these circles.

Step 9
Create more links in the same manner until you have the number needed for your bracelet.

(My wrist is 6' and I needed 5 links.)

Connect the links with two jump rings on each side and attach a hook clasp to one end.

Any one of the circles in your links serves as the other part of the clasp.

Step 10
You can make larger links if you want; however as you do so, you may want to use a heavier gauge wire.

I made a few larger links and added some bead links for this necklace.
