Step 1
Slide one of your beads onto a head pin.

Grasp the top of the bead with the round nose pliers and bend the wire to a 90 degree angle as shown in the photo.

Step 3
Turn the pliers one half step

Step 4
Wrap wire tail around the pliers' jaw as shown in the photo to form a loop.

Step 5
Use your fingers or your chain nose pliers to grasp and tightly coil the wire tail beneath the loop until you reach the top of the bead.

Step 6
Cut off any excess wire using flush cutters.

Use chain nose pliers to tuck the remaining wire tail into the coil as shown in the photo.

Repeat steps one through six to create your second beaded dangle.

Step 7
Cut two 7" segments of wire.

Step 8
Use round nose pliers to create a loop in the end of the wire, working with the curve in the wire.

Step 9
Begin to form a loose coil by holding the wire gently in the jaws of your plier.

Step 10
Use your fingers to create free-form circular coil wraps.

Make about four or five coils, depending on their diameter.

Step 11
The remaining wire will form the hook that threads into the ear.

Use a 1/4" dowel (a Sharpie marker works well) to bend the wire into a hook shape, as shown in the photo.

Step 12
Turn a slight bend in the hook end using round nose pliers.

Make two earrings of the same length.

The coils will be different, but should be the same length.

Step 13
Use the flat end of your chasing hammer to flatten the hooks.

This will help stiffen them.

Step 14
Open the loop at the bottom of your coil and slide a coiled dangle onto the wire.

Step 15
Use chain nose pliers to close and secure the loop.

Repeat steps seven through fifteen to create the second earring, adjusting the freeform coils so both earrings are the same length.

Step 16
Use sandpaper or a jeweler's file to smooth the wire ends so they are comfortable in the ear.
