Instructions
Step 1
Make large triangle jump rings by tightly wrapping the copper wire around the largest jaw of the Wubbers pliers. You only need 2 for a set of earrings - be sure to make some extra to practice on.

Cut down the middle of the row.

Select your fave 2 matching triangles. Work harden and texture them by carefully pounding them on your anvil with your chasing hammer. Make sure both wire ends butt up completely to each other with no gap.

Step 4
Cut a 4" piece of colored wire and coil the wire tightly around the split as many times as desired (the sample has 10 wraps). Coil right over the split and keep the wraps tightly against each other to hide the split. Trim both ends of wire and tuck edges so they're not poking out and there's no rough ends showing.
Repeat on the opposite side of the triangle.

Step 5
Cut two 4" pieces of colored wire. Coil the wire around the top of the triangle (the sample has 5 wraps), leave a gap (for your ear wire) and using the other wire, coil around the top of the triangle. Trim and tuck in ends of wires.

Step 6
Create a dangle for the middle by adding a crystal to a head pin and making a simple loop.

Use a regular ear wire or make your own ear wires:

Add the dangle and slip the triangle into the ear wire loop. Close the loop and repeat for the other earring. Experiment with other wire colors and dangles for entirely different looks.
