I used a picture of snowflakes on a windshield as inspiration for these earrings. I liked using the darker wire to represent the gray of winter and a cluster of different blues to convey a feeling of icy cold. Using a wire jig is a quick and easy way to create bases for your earrings and experiment with different color pallets!

Step 1
*NOTE-I used pink wire in the photos for better contrast. These instructions are for one earring. Repeat for the 2nd earring.

Set up the wire jig as shown in picture.

Step 2
Cut two pieces of 7" wire and starting at peg 1 (the top peg), wrap wire around peg 1 as shown in the picture with the working wire heading over to the left peg.

Step 3
Wrap wire over and around peg 2 as shown in the picture, pulling the wire tightly.

Step 4
Wrap wire over and around peg 3 as shown in the picture, pulling the wire tightly.

Step 5
Wrap wire over and around peg 4 as shown in the picture, pulling the wire tightly.

Step 6
Wrap wire over and around peg 5 as shown in the picture, pulling the wire tightly.

Step 7
Wrap wire over and around peg 6 creating a closed loop as shown in picture, pulling the wire tightly.

Step 8
Slide the earring base off the pegs and work harden with a hammer and block.

Step 9
Create 12 dangles by slipping each bead onto a headpin and making a simple loop at the top of each component. I used a combination of pearls and crystals.

Step 10
Slip all the dangles onto the jump ring and close the jump ring.

Step 11
Connect the jump ring to the bottom loop on the earring base. Add an ear wire to the top loop.
