Instructions
Step 1
Measure and cut a 14 inch piece of 20 gauge silver plated wire. Mark with your Sharpie at 7 inches on your 14 inch piece of wire and bend in half over your round nose pliers.

Step 2
Move the round nose pliers ¼ inch from center bend on one side of the wire and bend until it crosses over making a triangle pattern. Uncross the wires putting a slight curve with your thumbs ½ inch up the base of the wire to make the stem of the leaf.

Step 3
Using round nose pliers, freeform the points of the leaf about every ½ inch. Outside curve, inside curve, outside curve, inside curve in a zig zag pattern. (I made three points on one side and two points on the other.)

Step 4
Shape the top of the leaf in a point leaving one side straight and wrapping the other side three times around the straight side clipping off the excess.

Step 5
Bend the Straight wire over 90 degrees. Make a loop with your round nose pliers and wrap downward to meet your beginning loops. Cut off excess wire with cutters and press down cut end with your bent nose pliers.

On the steel block, hammer the bottom of the stem and all of the outside tips of the leaf.

Step 7
Measure and cut a 6 inch piece of 20 gauge silver plated wire. Anchor the 6 inch piece of wire you just cut to the lower left side of the leaf right above the stem wrapping it two rotations. With your fingers, bend a slight S curve in the center vein of the leaf and anchor it to the top left side of the leaf wrapping it two times around. With the excess top and bottom wire, take your round nose pliers and make spiral loops to the size you desire.

Step 8
Cut five 3 inch pieces of 24 gauge wire. Anchor each 3 inch piece to the tips of the leaf and the center vein of the leaf by wrapping three times cutting of excess with cutters. Take your bent nose pliers and make twists and bends gently in all 24 gauge pieces to give them a more realistic look.

Add a jump ring or bail of your choice to the top and hang on any chain, cording or other material you like.
