Instructions
Step 1
Start by making ball pins, by balling up the ends of the wire with the heat of a butane torch or select 10 ready-made ball pins to use.

Step 2
Then take a piece of 24-gauge wire approximately one inch long and turn a small loop at one end.

(The length of the wire can be adjusted to accommodate the size of the star shaped bead.)

Step 3
Position the round nose pliers back into the loop to reposition the loop so that it sits in the centre at the top of the pin.

Step 4
Next, slide the star bead onto the pin so that it sits underneath the loop.

Step 5
Bend the pin on the opposite side of the star bead.

Step 6
Position the cutters approximately 1cm up the pin from the bead and trim off the excess.

Step 7
Position the pin between the jaws of the round nose pliers, so that it is flush and there is no pin sticking out, so that you can turn the whole pin.

Step 8
Turn the pin with the round nose pliers into a small loop on this side of the star bead, so that you have created a double connector.

Step 9
Now repeat this with another inch of 24-gauge wire, so that you have two connecting stars, one for each earring.

Step 10
Using chain nose pliers to open and close the loop, attach the earring hooks to one of the loops on the star bead connectors (making sure that the point of the star is at the top.)

Now add the crystals and beads onto the pins.

These can be arranged in a mix of colours and amounts to create a graduated look.

Step 12
For example, the centre pin can be made the longest by adding on more beads and crystals, the outer pins have the least amount of crystals and beads to make them shorter in length.

Step 13
When you are happy with your arrangement of colour and length, bend the pin closely at the top of the last bead.

Step 14
Cut off the pin, leaving 1cm from the bend.

Turn the pin into a loop using round nose pliers.

Repeat this to turn a loop at the top of each pin.

Attach the pins in order onto the jump ring.

Attach the bottom connector of the star to the jumpring.

Complete the other earring by adding the same colour and size pattern of beads and crystals on the remaining 5 ball pins to make your earrings symmetrical and assemble to the connecting star on the other earring hook.
