Step 1
Take 20cm/8 inches of 0.6mm/22-gauge base wire. At approximately 4cm/ 1.5 inches from the end of the wire attach a length of 0.3mm/28-gauge weaving wire.

Step 2
Create a coil with the weaving wire for a length of approximately 7.5cm/3 inches. A coiling gizmo can be used if preferred but by bending the base wire and twirling the end of it, while applying slight pressure to the weaving wire between your thumb and finger, you can create a quick coil by hand.

A coil is created by wrapping one gauge of wire (28-gauge weaving wire) around another (22-gauge base wire), ensuring that each wrap sits neatly next to the last without overlapping.

If twirling the base wire with the weaving wire attached to create your coil quickly, bend the wire slightly further up as you go for ease and to help keep the coil neat and tight.

Step 5
Once you have reached the desired length of coil, straighten out the coiled wire so that there are no bends in it and trim off the start and end tails of weaving wire. As the coil must be long enough to wrap around the beads, you may wish to leave the end of the weaving wire attached until you place the beads on, in case you need to increase this coiled length slightly.

Use chain-nose or tweezer-nose pliers to tuck in any sharp edges of weaving wire to the base wire.

Take another length of 0.6mm/22-gauge base wire at 20cm/8 inches in length. Attach the coiled wire (using the 4cm/1.5 inches side before the start of the coil), to secure onto this new length of 0.6mm/22-gauge wire positioned at around 8cm/3 inches up, by wrapping it on three times.

Slide on two of the 6mm beads, the larger bead and the remaining two 6mm beads onto this new base wire

Start to tightly wrap the coiled wire around the first bead.

The coil should wrap around to frame one side of the bead.

Bring the coiled wire back behind the base wire and over the next bead.

Once you have wrapped over all 5 beads, wrap the coiled wire three times around the base wire with the beads on, to secure in place.

Re-adjust the coiled wire and tighten around the beads if necessary.

Cross the wires over each other, so that both of the end 6mm beads are now positioned next to each other at the top (creating a circular shape).

These wires can be twisted together to form one wire that can be used to create a loop or position the longer length of wire up vertically between the two top beads and use the shorter length to wrap around it to secure.
