Step 1
Cut 6 pieces of 18g square wire at 18cm. Mark all 6 pieces in the center (9cm)

Use 18g half round wire to wrap three times around both sides of the center mark on three square wires. Repeat with the other three wires.

Step 3
Firmly, hold one side of the wrap with flat chain nose pliers, pushing toward the center mark to make a V.

Step 4
Place a stone in the center of the V and gently bend one side of the wires to match the shape of your stone. Then, bend all three wires with flat chain nose pliers at the top point of the stone for the bail. Repeat with the other side.

Step 5
Using the 18g half round wire, wrap three times around all 6 wires, then 3 times around the back 2 wires. Trim the half round wire and tuck the end.

Step 6
Remove the stone from the frame. Use flat chain nose pliers to make a support V inside the frame V at the bottom front. Then, use same pliers to gently pull the support V out away from the frame V.

Step 7
Put the stone back into the frame, making any fitting adjustments needed to the support V. On the back, separate the back-square wires from the center-square wires. Use flat chain nose pliers to create the same support V on the bottom- back. Do the same support V at the top-back.

Step 8
This step is optional, but it adds nice texture. Bend the front two wires on each side over, out away from the bail posts. Twist the following wires: right back, right center, left front. Do the opposite on the other set: left back, left center, right front.

Step 9
Bend the left wires down and across the front of the stone, around the side, and to the back of the stone. Turn stone over and repeat with the other 2 wires: across the back, around the side, to the front. Trim front wires to 1cm. **reverse this process for the other stone**

Step 10
Spiral curl each of the front/back wire ends. Front bottom: down toward the center. Front top: up toward the center, sits on top of above wires. Back top: up toward the center, sits between top support V. Back bottom: up toward the center, sits between side support and top spiral.

Step 11
Bend square bail post down to the left, around one peg of stepped mandrel pliers. Bend twisted bail post around the perimeter of the square post loop.
Gently pull and adjust the square loop tighter, so there is space between the two loops.
**Reverse the directions for the other stone**

Bend both bail wires around the side of the bail to the back. Wrap the square wire only all the way around to the front

Step 13
Trim the back-twist wire slightly, then curl up and toward the bail. Tuck the curl against the bail post

Curl the front-square bail wire down and toward the center. It should sit directly in the nook of the 2-wire cross over.

Step 15
Add an earring hook to the outer twisted wire only. Polish out any tool marks with radial disks & rotary tool, if necessary.
