Cut a 6" long piece of wire. 10 gauge wire is used in this tutorial. Hint: Heavier gauge wires are hard to manipulate because of their thickness. It will be much easier to make the cuff if the wires are annealed before starting.
Lightly mark the center of the wire with an ultra fine point Sharpie.
Place the mark in the center of the jaws at the base of round nose pliers. Bend the wire in half, trying to match the ends. The bend created will not be tight against the pliers and the wire ends may cross. If the wire ends crossed, straighten so they parallel to each other.
