Combining pinks and silver is such a classic for Valentine's Day. And this project is quick and uses very few supplies so you can make them for all your pals.

Getting the heart shape may take a little practice but once you have it mastered you can crank these out in no time. One of the reasons I used aluminum wire is because it's so lightweight. You can create larger pieces and they don't weigh very much. Try other colored wire for a totally different vibe.

Instructions
Step 1
Cut an 8" piece of 12-gauge wire and straighten with the nylon-jaw pliers if needed. Make a tiny spiral at one end of the wire.

Step 2
Curve the wire slightly with your fingers.

Step 3
Place the Wubbers pliers jaw in the middle of the wire and wrap crossing the wire to make a loop at the bottom of the heart.

Step 4
Make a larger spiral on the other wire end going in the opposite direction.

Step 5
Work harden the heart using a chasing hammer and bench block.

Step 6
Cut an 18" piece of 24-gauge wire and wrap 3-6 times around the smaller spiral side.

Step 7
Slide a bead onto the wire and wrap around 3 times positioning the bead to the inside of the heart frame.

Step 8
Use the nylon-jaw pliers to snug and flatten the wraps between beads and continue wrapping beads until you are satisfied with the result. Trim wire tails.

Step 9
Using the ball headpin, slide on a bead cap, large bead and bead cap and make a simple loop (See how to make one here: https://www.wirejewelry.com/jewelry_making_videos/Perfect-Simple-Loop_14.html). Attach it to the bottom loop using a jump ring.

Step 10
Attach the top of the heart to the chain using a jump ring and finish off with a clasp.
