Instructions
Step 1
Flush cut 10" of 14g wire.

Curve the wire slightly to make it smile and use pliers to create a downward loop on each end.

Hammer this piece to work harden it.

Step 2
Cut 45" of 16g wire.

(If you want more chaos, cut more inches of this wire.)

Make a small loop at one end and then wrap the wire around something cylindrical, such as a ring mandrel, to create different sizes of coils.

End with another small loop.

Thread these chaotic loops onto the 14g wire.

Spread the loops to cover the full length of the wire and gently hammer them flat against the core wire.

Step 4
Use 22g or 24g wire to secure the 16g chaos wire to loop on each end of the core wire.

Step 5
Make as many dangles as you want with 20g or 22g wire or headpins.

Create wrapped loops for hanging these at the top of each dangle.

Step 6
Make or purchase jump rings and use these to attach the dangles to the 16g chaos wire.

Attach purchased or handmade chain and a clasp to complete your necklace.

Patina if desired. (I used liver of sulfur on the example.)
