Using just one wire gauge, it's a comfortable project that lets you play with your favorite beads and colors.

Instructions

Step 1

Straighten out two lengths of 20-gauge wire.

Make one length approximately 16 inches and the other 12 inches. (Increase these lengths for a full-size bracelet.)

Bring the ends of the longer wire together to find the center point.

Bend it at the center around round nose pliers or bail step pliers.

This forms a loop shape.

Step 2

Using the shorter length of wire, bend it approximately 2 inches up from the end.

Step 3

Position the bend around the round nose or bail step pliers.

Place it on top of the other longer wire.

Use the 2-inch tail to create a wrapped loop.

This binds both wires together.

Step 4

Cut off the remaining tail end of the wrapped loop and tuck in any sharp wire ends with the chain nose pliers.

Step 5

Slightly move out the wire that formed the wrapped loop.

Add beads to the two other wire ends.

Use enough beads to cover the full front of the wrist.

Bend the wire ends to prevent beads from falling off.

Step 6

Bring the wire from the wrapped loop around the back of the wires with beads.

Gently hold the rows of beads together.

Bring this wire around and over the top.

Place it between the beads on the top row.

Step 7

Bring the wire around the back of the bracelet again.

Place it between the next beads.

Position the wire on a slight diagonal.

This traps one bead on the top row and one on the bottom row.

Step 8

Continue winding the wire around between each bead.

Flip the bracelet from front to back.

Twist the wrapping wire between the beads.

This makes the process easy.

Step 9

Wind the wire up the full length of the bracelet.

Position it between the last two beads.

Pinch the beaded wires inward to bring them close together.

Step 10

Use the wrapping wire to bind these wires together by wrapping around them a couple of times.

Step 11

Cut off any remaining wrapping wire with flush cutters.

Use chain nose pliers to tuck in sharp wire ends.

Tuck them firmly so they sit flush into the wrap.

Step 12

Use round nose pliers or bail step pliers.

Bend the two remaining beaded wires as one.

Form another wrapped loop by bending both wires together between the jaws.

Step 13

Bring both wires around the pliers at the same time.

Form a loop.

Wrap them to fill the space between the loop and the binding wire.

This secures everything.

Cut off any excess wires and tuck them into the wrapped loop.

Step 15

Shape the bracelet into a curve, with your fingers, a bracelet mandrel or something cylindrical.

Step 16

Attach a jumpring and clasp to the wrapped loop.

This creates a fastening for the bracelet.

Step 17

An extender chain can be added to the opposite loop to complete the bracelet.

Step 18

Attach a slider chain to the loops.

Pull the chain through the silicon stopper bead.

This lets you change the bracelet length.

Step 19

Use a mix of beads in this design.

Add one color to the top wire row.

Add another color to the bottom wire.
