Use nylon-coated pliers to prevent marking the wire.

Curl the wire around the loop.

This forms a tight spiral where the wire rotates around itself.

Coil the wire around three times.

This forms a 10mm diameter spiral.

Using bail step pliers, form a curve in the wire, in line with the spiral.

Use the barrels of the bail step pliers to create a curve.

Shape it to match the spiral's size.
