Instructions
Step 1
Measure and cut one 4" piece of 18 gauge wire, and four 3" pieces of 24 gauge copper wire.

Step 2
Use a Sharpie to mark the halfway point, at 2", on the 18g wire.

Step 3
Mark the round-nose pliers ¼ inch from the tips to ensure the same size loop at the top for both earrings.

Step 4
Line up the center mark on the 18g wire with the mark on the round-nose pliers and bend wire in half over the pliers.

Step 5
With round-nose pliers, squeeze together the wire underneath the bend, creating a round bend at the top.

Step 6
Take one piece of 3" copper wire, wrap four times tightly under the bend ending on the same side.
Trim excess wire with cutters and press in the ends with chain-nose pliers.

Step 7
Separate the bottom of earring to ½ inch apart, measure from the bottom up on each side, and mark with Sharpie at ¼ inch.

Step 8
On the steel block, hammer the ends of the wire until they resemble a paddle stopping, at the ¼ inch mark.
With the sanding block, round the bottom edges of the ends of the wire.

Then sand the paddles, front and back, until the copper shows through.

Step 9
Take a second piece copper wire and wrap it three times on one side of the earring, right above paddle.

String on the 8mm Montana Blue crystal and wrap the other end around the other side of the earring, pulling the wire for a snug fit.

Trim excess and press the ends against the frame with chain-nose pliers.

Step 10
Repeat Step 9 to attach the 6mm Denim Blue and 4 mm Azore Light crystal.

Finish by adding ear wire to the top loop.

Repeat all steps for the second earring.
