The "bezel" for the stone focal in this pendant is created by entwined 16-gauge wire. The 16-gauge wire is woven together with fine gauge wire for support and strength. Try it with your favorite stone focal.

Instructions
Step 1
Take 12 inches (30 cm) of 16-gauge wire and bend it in half. Make a loop around the briolette.
Step 2
Bend one end of wire around the other at the top of the briolette form, as shown. We must create multi-layer elegant form around the briolette.
Step 3
Bring the wire around the briolette shape a second time and up around the top again.
Step 4
Bend the wire down half way and make a little curl at the end and trim.
Flatten and smooth the end with a file.
Step 5
With the other end, create a nice loop at the top and thread the wire down through the first loop. Bring the wire around the bottom and up around the other side.
Step 6
Bring the wire up and through the loop and down the other side and trim, leaving enough to make a little loop at the end like the other side.
Step 7
Flatten the loop. Insert the the bead to make sure it still fits.
Step 8
Take 24 inches of 28-gauge wire and thread it through the briolette. Fix it to the right and to the left by wrapping each end around the frame.
Step 9
WIth 7 inches of 18-gauge wire, make another frame like one in the picture below. The thick and thin wires echo each other's shape.
Step 10
Trim the wire on both ends, curl and smooth.
Step 11
So now we have a base and need to weave all the pieces together using 28-gauge wire. Weave all the layers in various spots so they can't be wiggled.
Step 12
Anywhere the wire ends overlap, lash them together while weaving the frames.
Continue to weave in various places around the frame, but don't do too much weaving. It's more elegant with just sections of weaving.
Step 13
Use the ends of the briolette wire to wrap several times around the top of the bead to secure.
Step 14
Take 8 inches of 28-gauge wire and secure the frames on the top of pendant.
Step 15
The pendant is done, but we have to make a bail. Take 1 inch of 16 gauge wire and flatten it using the hammer. Use round nose pliers to make the loop and smooth the ends.
Step 16
Use liver of sulfur to oxidize the pendant and bail. Dry and polish.
