Instructions

Step 1

Cut the chain to the size you would like your finished bracelet to be and attach on the findings for your clasp: attaching a jump ring to one end of the chain and a jump ring and clasp to the other end of the chain.

Step 2

Cut wire for an 8-inch bracelet: about 12 inches long.

Use round-nose pliers for a wrapped loop on the first chain link.

Leave 1 inch tail, bend over the plier tip.

Position on small tapered end away from handle for tiny loop.

Reposition pliers above and below wire. Form centered loop at wire top.

Step 3

Gently flick up the loop prior to securing it with a wrap, to attach on the chain from the last link.

Step 4

Once the chain is slid into position, hold the loop with the pliers to close it back over and wrap around the tail end three times to secure the loop.

Step 5

Trim off any excess wire and tuck in the tail end.

Step 6

Thread on two of the spacer beads (suggested size 4mm) to the wire.

Step 7

When bringing the wire back through the chain, the link chosen will vary on the size of the beads and chain links used.

The beads should be positioned so that the chain is not too taught and can slightly move and dangle underneath the beads.

Step 8

Thread wire through a link further down the chain.

Account for the wrapped loop space.

Ensure wire lies flat against chain.

Position so chain covers spacer bead distance before returning through the link.

Step 9

Straighten the wire.

Add next bead cluster: one 4mm spacer, one 6mm bead, another 4mm spacer.

You've now added three beads to this side.

Step 10

Bring the wire back through a link in the chain so that the chain covers the distance of the three beads.

This will create waves through the chain with the beads alternating between the sides of the chain.

Bringing the wire back through links further down the chain will create more of a droop and dangle with the chain underneath the beads.

Step 11

Alternating back to the other side, add on two spacer beads again so that the chain sits underneath the beads.

Step 12

Lay the bracelet flat often.

Continue the pattern: three beads one side, two spacers the other.

This keeps chain links straight.

It ensures smooth movement.

Step 13

Continue adding beads to fill the chain length.

Alternate sides by threading wire through chain links to surround beads.

Count links per side for even flow.

This ensures consistent spacing throughout the bracelet.

Step 14

All pairs of the spacer beads should be positioned on one side of the bracelet and the group of three beads on the other side.

Step 15

The wire and beads can be adjusted and manipulated into place if necessary.

Step 16

Add on the last beads needed to complete the chain length.

Step 17

Bring the wire back through the last link of the chain underneath the jump ring.

Step 18

At chain end, secure wire without a wrapped loop.

Thread tail end through the last link three times.

Go back through the same link each time.

Step 19

Keep the wraps neat by positioning them closely next to each other.

Cut off any excess wire close to the chain.

Ensure that any sharp ends are tucked into the chain link.

Once the clasp is attached to the jump ring on the opposite end of the bracelet, it will form its shape.
