This attractive earring design gives desired length and color, but without a lot of weight. The chain adds motion and keeps the earrings from being hidden by longer hair. Try adjusting the design by using longer lengths of chain and adding more beads in graduated sizes.
Special Instructions: Make both earrings at the same time, working one step on one earring and then the same step on the other.

Instructions
Step 1
Measure and cut the needed lengths of chain and set them aside. Using 20-gauge round half hard wire, straighten, clean and then measure and cut the necessary lengths. Begin with one 13/16-inch wire and use round-nose pliers to form an eye on one end. Thread a 6mm bead on to this wire, and slide it up tight to the loop. Use round-nose pliers to make another loop at the other end of the wire, immediately after the bead. Repeat on each 13/16-inch wire, using 6mm beads and on the 5/8-inch wires using the 4mm beads.

Step 2
Use chain-nose pliers to open one eye-loop on a 6mm bead segment and insert the end link of a chain length into the loop, then use chain-nose pliers to tightly close the loop. Making sure the chain is not twisted, repeat procedure with the opposite eye loop and the other end of the same length of chain.

From the end link just inserted into a bead segment, measure one half inch up the length of chain and add another 6mm bead segment, on both sides of the chain.

Step 4
From this second added bead segment, again measure up one half inch and repeat using the 4mm bead segments. Attach ear wires to the center chain link and head out the door!
