Instructions
Step 1
Materials and tools for this project are shown on this picture. This crystal bead is 15 mm tall. We will need 2 base wires of the 18ga (1 mm) wire, with the length of 4 inches (10 cm), each.
Cut a 40 inches (100 cm) long weaving wire of the 28ga (0.3 mm) wire. Measure I cm on the initial end of one base wire, at this point position the initial end of the weaving wire behind this base wire and wrap it 4 times around the base wire.

Step 2
Cut off the short initial end of the weaving wire.

Step 3
Position the second base wire over the first one in a way that you position 0.5 cm of the second base wire beyond the end of the first wire.

Step 4
Now wrap the weaving wire 2 times around both base wires.

Step 5
Again, wrap the weaving wire 4 times around the lower base wire.

Step 6
Now again wrap it 2 times around both base wires. Let's call this weave 4-2 weave.

Step 7
Make another 3 rotations of the 4-2 weave. Try to keep the woven part as tight as you can. If you need, compress the weave, pushing it to the left side direction with your fingers, until it is tight enough.

Step 8
Coil the weaving wire 40 times around the lower base wire.

Step 9
Bend the coiled base wire into a small loop in a way that you bend this base wire end slightly upwards behind the wire structure, as shown with the arrow.

Step 10
Switch to top view. Make sure that the end of the coiled part meets with the end of the 4-2 woven part.

Step 11
Take the other base wire, bend it exactly in the same way as we did with the coiled base wire.

Step 12
Now wrap the weaving wire 2 times around both base wires.

Step 13
Make 20 rotations of the 4-2 weave, weaving as tight as you can. The length of the woven part must be maximum 4 cm long.

Step 14
Position the loops over the top of your bead to make sure that the first section of the 4-2 weave is positioned on the left side of the stone, and the second section of the 4-2 weave is pointed upwards, as shown on this picture.

Step 15
Hold the center of the second section of the 4-2 weave tight between the ends of the round nose pliers.

Step 16
Bend the upper half completely backwards then downwards, as shown on this picture.

Step 17
Now bend the wire ends of the second section of the 4-2 weave to the left side direction, as shown with the arrow.

Step 18
Behind the base wires, cut off the extra end of the weaving wire. Pressure the end of the weaving wire with the chain nose pliers, until it is completely closed.

Step 19
Position the bead inside the wire structure, as shown on this picture. The top hole of the bead must stay behind the left side of the loops. From this point of view, take the inner base wire and bend it close to the left side of the stone.

Step 20
You can leave this wire end as long as you like, however I recommend you to leave a 0.5 cm long end on it, then cut off the extra wire end.

Step 21
Take the second base wire, bend it close to the left side of the stone, as shown on this picture.

Step 22
Leave this second base wire slightly longer than the first one, cut off the extra end of it.

Step 23
Now take the 2 base wire ends from the back, bend the right one to the right side direction, pointing it completely downwards, then bend the left one slightly to the left side direction.

Step 24
Bend the left base wire exactly in the same way as shown on this picture, making a curve with it.

Step 25
Hammer these 3 base wire ends, to make them flat as shown on this picture.

Step 26
With the help of a nail file, make the flattened wire ends smooth.

Step 27
Switch to back view. Take the wire end which was not flattened, bend it completely toward yourself.

Step 28
Add your bead to this base wire. Make sure that the back of the bead is facing you.

Step 29
Bend this base wire completely downwards, bending it tightly over the back of the bead.

Step 30
With the help of the chain nose pliers, bend the end of this base wire to the left side direction, making a little curve with it.

Step 31
Hammer this base wire end as well, then make it smooth with the help of the nail file.

Step 32
Switch to front view. This is the result we must get.
Erika Pal's Capturing Loops Pendant - , Wire Weaving, Weaving, Wire Weaving, Weaving Wire, Capturing loops pendant
Step 33
Now we have to capture the bead. Very slowly, bend the right base wire end over the lower side of the stone, holding this part of the stone as tight as possible.

Step 34
Now move the 2 inner base wire ends on the left side closer to the stone.

Step 35
Move the third base wire end over the woven session, as shown here.
Erika Pal's Capturing Loops Pendant - , Wire Weaving, Weaving, Wire Weaving, Weaving Wire, Capturing loops pendant
Step 36
Take the base wire end from the lower side and move it slightly backwards, until it is holding the circumference of the stone (bead).

Step 37
Your beautiful pendant is ready.

Step 38
If you wish you can make the bail part straighter as I did here, straightening the woven part on the upper side of the bail.
