Instructions
Step 1
Cut 6 lengths of 0.8mm/20 gauge wire at 30cm each (approx 12").
Step 2
Straighten each wire (using nylon coated pliers or a cloth).

Step 3
Clamp the wires in a ring clamp or tape them together side by side running parallel to each other, approximately 2.5 inches from the end.

Step 4
Part the wires in the middle, into two groups of three.

Step 5
Taking the inner most wires twist these two wires over each other once.

Step 6
Take two from one side and bring the over in the direction of the wire (for example the wires on the right are following the direction of the closest twisted wire which is over the top).

Step 7
Bring the other two in the opposite direction (in this case the left wires are going underneath in the direction of the inner twisted wire).
Make sure each group of these three wires stay sitting next to each other not crossing over.

Step 8
Twist over the new inner most wires.

Step 9
Bring the two wires on the left over in the direction of the inner twist.

Step 10
Bring the wires on the right over the opposite side.

Keep repeating this process until you have the length you desire.

Remember to smooth your wires as you go, keeping the braiding tight and wires close to each other.

When you reach your desired length (I have braided to a length of 6.5 inches) use nylon pliers to straighten and flatten out the braid, if it's started to curve to a slightly angle.

Step 14
At this stage (optional) you can also use a jewelry hammer and block to harden the wire and flatten the weave, by hammering along the braid.

Remove the clamp or tape and using the remaining 2.5 inches at the end of the braid, slightly separate out the outer wires.

Bring one outermost wire under and one wire from the other outer side over to bring them into the center and lock the braid in place.

Add one 6mm bead to the top wire, now positioned in the center of the braid.

Curve this wire around the bead bringing it underneath the braid.

Take the top two remaining wires (those shown on the right-hand side) and curve them fully around the bead in the opposite direction, keeping them next to each other.

Step 20
Bring the wire that the bead is threaded onto and wrap it twice around the neck of the bracelet/braidt twice, trim off the end so that it is on the outside/top of the cuff, and tuck down with pliers.

With the two swooped wires, closest to the bead, bring these around the braid to secure and bring down the length of the braid and spiral with round-nose pliers.

Position these spirals over the top of the cut off ends and press them flat against the braids.
