Instructions
Step 1
Begin by creating the baubles that hang from the lower chain. I made three baubles for this pattern.

To make 3 handmade headpins, use the wire cutters to cut 3 pieces of 20 gauge wire into 3 inch pieces.
Step 2
First, use your round-nose pliers to form a tight curl at one end of each of the three wires. Slide your bead combination onto each wire, resting it against the curl.

Then, using flat-nose pliers, bend the wire at the top of each bead to create a clean 90-degree angle.

Next, switch back to the round-nose pliers and wrap the wire into a loop at the base of the bend.

After that, use flat-nose pliers to neatly curl the remaining wire around the top of the loop. Trim away any excess wire to finish.

Step 3
Each boot chain is made individually, so use the boot itself as your model. Measure the amount of chain needed for the top section first, then measure the bottom section. The bottom chain will be slightly longer.

Open four jump rings.

Place two jump rings at the ends of each chain.

Step 4
Place each of 2 jump rings at either end of the 3 stand chain clasp.

Then attach the chain links to the jump rings.

Close the jump rings.

Step 5
Open 3 more jump rings.

Attach the top loop of the baubles to your desired spots on the chain.

I attached 2 baubles to chain links and one free-floating in the middle, linked to the chain itself.

Close the jump rings.

Step 6
Measure stringing wire long enough to fit between the two chain lengths.

Add 4 inches for working on either end.

Use the stringing wire, small beads, and accent beads to create a middle strand between the chains.

Step 7
Add a crimp bead to one end of the bead strand.

Loop the wire through the middle hole of one end of the clasp, then pull it back through the crimp bead.

Step 8
Thread the second crimp bead onto the other end of the bead strand.

Loop the wire through the other side of the clasp. Then, pull it back through the crimp bead.

Step 9
Both ends are now threaded through the middle holes of the clasp ends.

Adjust as needed to create an even, symmetrical flow of chain and beads.

Step 10
Use the crimping pliers to crimp each end of the crimps into place.

Step 11
Use the wire cutters to cut off any remaining stringing wire.

Step 12
Use the handmade headpin technique from step 2 to create a pair of earrings with any leftover beads.
