This wire wrapped earrings tutorial will teach you how to create birthstone earrings using your favorite beads of 4mm. If
you have larger beads (6 or 8 mm), use longer wires than the ones I used for this project.
I recommend you to use dead soft copper wire, which is easy to bend, however you can use silver or silver filled wire as well.

I will use 21ga (0.7 mm) wire and 4mm beads.

Step 2
We will make the 2 earrings at the same time.
Cut 2 wires of the 21ga (0.7 mm) or 22ga (0.6 mm) wire, with a length of 3 inches (7.5 cm) each.

Step 3
Take one of these wires. Hold the center of it tight within the tip of the chain nose pliers, then bend the left half 90 degrees upwards.

Repeat the same step with the second wire as well.

Position these 2 wires exactly in the same way as shown here, then add the beads to the wire ends pointed upwards, positioning them close to the bent
center of the wires.
The wire with the bead on the right side will be the right earring, and the wire with the bead on the left side will be the left earring.

Step 6
Take the right wire with the bead. Hold the bead close to the center of the wire, then bend the horizontal wire end to make a small loop close to the right side
of the bead, as shown here.

Take the left wire with the bead. Hold the bead close to the center of the wire, then bend the horizontal wire end to make a small loop close to the left side
of the bead, as shown here.

Take the right earring. Continue to bend the wire end coming from the lower side to the left side direction, crossing it over the vertical wire end at a 3mm
distance from the top of the bead.

Step 11
Wrap this wire end 2 times around the vertical wire end, keeping the 3 mm distance from the top of the bead.

Cut off the extra end of the wrapped wire, then press the end of it with the tip of the chain nose pliers, to close it completely.

If necessary, push the wrapped wires closer using chain nose pliers, as shown here.

Step 14
Take the left earring. Continue to bend the wire end coming from the lower side to the right side direction, crossing it over the vertical wire end at a 3mm
distance from the top of the bead.

Wrap this wire 2 times around the vertical wire end, then cut off the extra end of it. Press the wire end to close it completely, and compress the wrapped part with the chain nose pliers, as we did with the right earring before.

Step 16
Take the right earring. Close to the wrapped part, hold the vertical wire end tight within the tip of the chain nose pliers and bend it slightly backwards.

Step 17
Close to the wrapped part, hold the wire end within the ends of the bail making pliers (or within the ends of the round nose pliers), in a way that the thinner end of the bail making pliers is on the top. Bend the wire end to the front, then bend it completely downwards over the bead.

Step 18
Using chain nose pliers, push the wire end close to the wrapped part. This part will be the bail of the earring which we will connect with the ear wire later.

Hold this bail tight within the chain nose pliers, then bend the wire end slightly to the right side direction, positioning it above the wire coming from the lower side.

Step 20
Bend the wire all around the right side of the wire structure, positioning the wire end behind the wire coming from the hole of the bead.

Step 21
From the bottom view, bend the short wire end to the front with the tip of the chain nose pliers, making a curve with it around the wire coming from the hole of the bead.

Press the bent wire end with the chain nose pliers, to close it completely around the other wire.

Take the left earring, repeat exactly the same bending steps with the vertical wire end, to make a small bail, as we did with the right earring before.

Hold this bail tight within the chain nose pliers, then bend the wire end slightly to the left side direction, positioning it above the wire coming from the lower side.

Press the bent wire end with the chain nose pliers, to close it completely around the other wire.

The 2 earrings are ready. It's time to connect them with the ear wires.

Take your favorite ear wires (I recommend you to use hypoallergenic earring hooks), open the loop of it with the help of the chain nose pliers, as
shown.

Insert the open loop of the ear wire into the bail of the earring, then close the loop completely.
