Determine how wide you'd like your pendant to be and then find a square object the same size (I used a small box). Working from the spool of 18-gauge wire, wrap the wire across the bottom of the object, and about 3" up each side. Trim.

Use flat-nose pliers to square up both bottom corners of the wire.

Use your fingers to slightly curve each side, then cross the wires where you'd like the top of your pendant to be.

Use one wire tail to form a small loop around the other wire tail. Trim.

Use round-nose pliers to form a simple loop at the top of the pendant. Trim.

Place the pendant on a bench block and use the hammer to flatten and work-harden.

Cut a short piece of 26-gauge wire (about 2") and wrap one end around one side of the pendant near the top. String a row of small beads, then wrap around the other side of the pendant 1-2 times.

String a second row of beads onto the wire, then wrap the end twice around the pendant. Trim tail as needed. Continue in this manner, adding a new piece of wire when necessary.

To add the charm or small pendant to the center of the wire frame pendant, add a few small beads to a section of wire on one side of the charm, then wrap the wire around the hole in the charm, leaving a tail. String a second row of beads beside the charm, then wrap the end around the side of the frame. (Fig. 9) Repeat on the other side of the charm.

Add a new piece of wire to the opposite side of the frame, string a few small beads to sit beside the charm, then string the wire across the back of the charm where there is no hole to attach the wire to.

Add a few small beads on the other side of the charm, then use your fingers to slightly curve the wire that is strung across the back side of the charm.

Continue to add small sections of wire and beads, stringing the wire through the remaining holes in the charm as before. Add a final section of wire at the bottom of the pendant, then string a final row of beads.

Attach a jump ring to the top of the pendant, and then add a long leather strap or ribbon.
