Protective Easy Storage for Jewelers Files
I wanted a simple storage solution for protecting my small, delicate files. I wanted something that gave easy access, allowed me to see the files and protect them from rust and any damage to their points.
I made this easy protective file storage container from an old document wallet that came with my bicycle manual.
It was the perfect size for most of my small, delicate files.

I used my sewing machine with a long straight stitch to create a cell for each file.
I used regular polyester sewing thread.
I guessed the width and kept testing as I went along.

The files are easy to see and store.
This saves me a lot of time and keeps my bench organized.

For the longer files, I made simple fold-over sleeves from thin, soft PVC material often used for outdoor tablecloths.
The back is the full length of the file, with a folded-over front that covers the serrated part, leaving the handles free for easy access.
