Protective Easy Storage for Jewelers Files

I made this easy protective file storage container out of an old document wallet that came with the manual for my bicycle. It was the perfect size for most of my small and delicate files.

I used my sewing machine with a long straight stitch to make a cell for each file. I used normal polyester sewing thread. I just guessed the width and kept testing as I went along.

For the files that were longer I made a simple fold over sleeve out of thin, soft pvc material. This material is often used for outdoor tablecloths. The basic shape I chose is a back that is the full length of the file with a folded over front that covers the serrated part of the file leaving the handles free for easy access.

I sewed straight lines with a long stitch. It was super easy.
