Inspired by this magnificent image of The Wave located in the Coyote Buttes North area of the Utah/Arizona border, I knew the color pallet would be a delight to work with. The Wave is the premier photographic destination in the US Southwest.
. Only 64 people per day (48 permits granted three months in advance and 16 permits granted one day in advance) are allowed in the area and demand far exceeds supply. During the most popular months (April, May, September, October) there can be an estimated 300 people applying for the sixteen daily permits. A six-mile, round-trip hike is required to get to The Wave with no trail. Talk about a challenge!

I used really large Fire Agate round beads (20mm) but you can use any large beads for this project. You can even use different shapes but I wanted to start with a round shape since it's the easiest to teach. I added a splash of blue crystal and tiny seed beads to complement the vintage, rusty pallet and to really pop. The spirals of wire mimic the strata of the earth. This project is really fun, and using the same technique, you can easily attach multiple beads to make a necklace or bracelet.
