Color Inspiration - Snowflakes

Growing up in Minnesota and now living in Colorado, I've seen my share of snow! I actually love snow and winter activities (I can hear all you snow birds groaning) and really find snow beautiful. There is nothing better than taking a moonlit stroll through the neighborhood right after a snowfall. Everything is muffled and covered in glittery white icing. I still find it a magical experience every time!
That's why I fell in love with this image of snowflakes taken from the inside of a car windshield. It's such a great reminder that each snowflake is a unique work of art - just like us! And to take a moment, stop, breathe deeply and enjoy the simple beauty of a snowflake especially during these unsettling times.

I created the base of these earrings on a wire jig, work hardened them with a hammer and block, then added little dangles of pearls and crystals representing the colors of snowflakes and icy winter. It's a great project to create with other color pallets as well.
