Color Inspiration - Snake Eyes Necklace

This past winter I was fortunate enough to attend many of the bead and gem shows in Tucson, Arizona. It's been a yearly trek for 13 years only skipping the Covid pause. I'm amazed every visit at the beauty and vast offerings the world brings to that little mecca in Tucson. This year was no exception and I took a million fab pics of eye candy. An entire booth of turquoise was one of them and I decided to use this as an inspiration for this necklace. What I immediately noticed is all the twine with price tags were a pretty copper color, so I used that in my design as well.
This necklace was a great exercise in letting go and following the path of Non-Perfection! I intentionally created it with a wonky, uneven, organic flair. It's def not matchy-matchy. I think it's magical how you can take a few pieces of wire, pound them out, texture and link them together with a few pearls and you've got a stunning piece of jewelry!

One of my fave Tucson bead shows is in a casino and this trip I heard an excited gambler yell "Go snake eyes" as I passed through. This inspired my focal piece and I had to use the snake charm and encase it with turquoise chips and resin as a memorabilia piece from that trip.
