Color Inspiration - Rugged Old Truck
During a late-October visit to the pumpkin patch at a local farm just a few miles outside of my hometown in Northern Colorado, I snapped this photo of an old pickup truck sitting near the corn maze.
When I was a child, my grandfather had a truck very much like this one.
I can still picture it parked in front of my grandparents' modest home in small-town Nebraska.
I can almost smell the interior, recalling the rare and special occasions when my dad would take us for a ride.
What a treasured memory to hold onto as the years have passed..

Looking at this photo, I quickly derived a color palette ideal for both fall and winter wardrobes. Slate blue and gray, accented with taupe, pair beautifully with any winter outfit.
For my necklace, I focused on a fall-inspired look, using various shades of brown beads to complement a ceramic leaf pendant, with just a touch of blue for contrast.
