Color Inspiration - Riverbed Bracelet

A walk in the woods bordering a wandering stream. The water sparkles, the leaves are dry, lining the riverbank. What lies beneath the rocks, I ask myself ? What reflects up from the riverbed?
Little bits of color shine up from beneath the water.

This photo of a crisp spring morning at first seems muted in its colors.

Yet, looking carefully, I see the beauty of the natural earth tones moss, tree bark, wet rocks on the riverbed, and the orange tones of the leaves.

The photo led me to explore the earthy tones in my bead box for inspiration in this double-strand bracelet.

Malachite and jade beads resemble the mossy greens, while slate rocks and shadows inspired the use of double-drilled jet beads.

A handful of gemstones amber, onyx, jasper, malachite tumble together with lapis, amethyst, citrine, and even a small pearl.

All the sparkles and reflections I saw at the bottom of the riverbed are captured in this easy-wearing bracelet with a round magnetic clasp.
