I think it is safe to say that we all have a favorite season during the year. Okay, maybe there are the select few who
live in regions where they don't have a favorite season because the seasons are all so similar (i.e. arctic, equatorial,
etc.) However, this artist's favorite seasons in the Pacific Northwest are Spring and Fall. The palette of colors that emerge when the flora and fauna are either emerging or stepping into slumber is simply exquisite.

Unlike the spectacular groves of trees in the Rocky Mountains, which usually require a drive to see, Portland's brilliant fall colors appear right in parks, neighborhoods, and city streets.
Another great aspect of Portland's changing seasons is that different types of trees change color in phases, making the display feel almost endless.
Even during the rainiest months, as long as the rain isn't too heavy or cold, the wide range of hues continues to please the eye.

In this Color Inspiration, I present an impressive display of rainbow vegetation popping out against the still-green trees in the neighborhood background.
Focusing on this palette, I chose carmine (red), rose, pastel red (orange), chartreuse-like yellow, spring green, and golden olive.
Using rose quartz, carnelian, golden tiger eye, citrine, aventurine, and moss agate beads, I wrapped simple copper frames into Tree of Life in Autumn earrings.
