I recently took this pic on a walk in my hood on Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota (Yes, the lake Prince refers to in the movie, Purple Rain). I grew up on this lake and my life path has taken me to many beautiful places, but I always longed to return and live near this beloved lake. So I did 6 months ago!
They say you can't go home again and I agree. In the sense that "home" isn't the same and you certainly aren't the same person returning home.

The planets aligned for me and I was able to return home and it's been delightful.

Growing up on a lake in the Midwest shaped me more than I thought and I am grateful for taking long walks around such beauty.

The lake constantly inspires me, so I wanted to create a quick and easy jewelry project that reflects its colors (pun intended).

I used 20-gauge wire for these earrings, but you can use 18- or 19-gauge for stronger pieces.

Just make sure your seed beads have holes large enough to fit the wire.

Once you make your first pair, you'll see the color palettes are endless.

This project is highly customizable make the earrings as short or long as you like.
