I wanted to experiment with the idea of using metal clay to make a bracelet imitating puzzle pieces. So, I rolled out a wide band of copper clay and textured it. Then I used a straight pick and carved the pieces from the band and made holes for the jump rings. I added some small round inclusions and then fired everything. I fired the pieces in a kiln but you can torch fire them as well. Once the bracelet was fired, I used turquoise chips and resin to create little pools like tiny creek beds for the chips. I then made jump rings using 3 different colored wire to attach everything. I threw a few seed beads onto the jump rings for interest. I don't know if this piece is more fun to make or wear!
