Color Inspiration - Glass and Ice
When I first saw this photo, I was certain that it was a well-captured image of a sheet of icicles. The translucent-seeming coloration, to me, suggested that the icicle was in the process of melting. What I didn't register was the copious amount of bubbles even in noticing the way they catch the visible range of light in varying degrees. Bubbles are so often the identifying element when differentiating between stones and minerals and whether the specimen is naturally occurring (like obsidian) or man-made.
Wow, that's such a cool twist! It's amazing how everyday things like sunshine through a glass can create such unexpected and inspiring visuals. The way light and color play tricks on us can spark so much creativity like seeing icicles where there's actually just light refraction.

The palette of this image isn't very broad, and that lingering impression of ice formations slowly melting from the eaves of a roof was still strong.
That's such a beautiful connection taking a moment of unexpected inspiration from something as simple as light through a glass and tying it to the delicate, shimmering quality of stick pearls and labradorite.
