This photo inspired my new wire craft designing and shaping spring knots.
I aimed to make larger knots using a ½-inch diameter dowel to thread fabric through the bigger holes.
Silk "fairy fabric" works perfectly, threading all six strands through the larger knots.
The very small spring knots, made with 24-gauge craft wire on 3/16-inch dowels, are threaded with just one silk strand.
The silk's lightness reflects the soft colors of flower petals.
Strong greens, purples, golds, reds, and copper craft enamel wire highlight the knots.
18-gauge, 12mm copper wire jump rings link to form a neck chain without a clasp.
Elegant and pretty as a picture.
