Fast forward to a much brighter, sunnier and shorter winter season here in Colorado where I now reside. The altitude changes many things (not just the lack of air when you're climbing a flight of stairs) but also colors. I noticed this immediately when I moved. The snow in Colorado looked like it had a slight blue tint instead of that dirty snow of Minnesota. I love taking winter shots and this one of the icicles on my roof one winter sure looked blue. For some reason the bluish tinted ice looks colder to me!
