Color Inspiration - Bow Wow Garden

I've got to admit, this was one of the most interesting color palettes I've ever designed with! When I saw this image on Facebook, I knew it would be a fun challenge to use as inspiration for jewelry.

I created the color palette and had serious doubts - will this look good or what? The puppy is darling but will the palette transfer into a great colors for beads, I'm not so sure!

I forged ahead anyway.

I started the first earring and after about five scallops, I knew it not only looked good I loved it!

That surprise factor is one of the most fun parts of designing.

After that, it's all about trusting the process and following through.

One important lesson I've learned is that if you love the colors in an image and use them to select your components, the final result always rocks in a good way.

That was definitely true here.

This project is so quick, easy and satisfying.

Perfect for a last minute gift or new outfit, these are quite fun to make!
