Color Inspiration - Blue Puya Double Drop Earrings

Flowers and plants have some of the most inspirational color pallets on the planet and The Blue Puya is no exception! A terrestrial Bromeliad related to the Pineapple from the Chilean Andes Mountains, has leaves 3 feet long and the flowers are tall stalks. This crazy plant only blooms every 5-8 years. With these intense colors, it looks like it's worth the wait to me, how about you?
Double drop earrings have been trending for a while, and I've been itching to make some. You only need two holes per earlobe!

When I saw the Blue Puya image and color palette, I knew this would be a fun design project.

You can make these earrings using post findings instead of the hoops I used in this sample. It depends on your aesthetic.

You can also adjust the chain lengths to suit your earlobe-to-neck ratio. Some women have longer necks and can wear longer chains comfortably, while others may not.

I used very small, lightweight chains in this design to keep the weight light.

One great thing about this project is that you can mix and match crystal colors and chains for endless color combinations.
