While sorting through my bead box, I discovered many shades of red, white, and blue.
Inspired to create a versatile, long necklace with no clasp, I used beading wire.
I finished each end by wrapping the wire around a brass rondelle, securing it with a crimp.
Then, I covered the crimp with a crimp cover for a polished look.
This 42-inch necklace features vintage beads from Tibet and Africa, showcasing a time-worn look. The Native American-inspired chevron beads combine all three colors in one bead.
Shades of translucent crystal highlight the pale frosted glass, round bone beads, and small white pearls. Clay elements, along with coral and garnet beads, match the red stripes of the flag.
The blue background of the stars is represented by lapis, indigo African glass beads, and the vintage Tibetan focal bead.
This long necklace can be doubled up, twisted several times around the wrist, or worn as a single strand around the neck.
This color combination will always be a classic.
